Love this color of green
I would love to love these shoes but I cannot
I have walked about 62 miles in these shoes…and for me there is a lot that does not work .
First wearing them straight out of the box the arch support was not there for me and the fabric of the shoe , well it just scratches my foot….In summer I wear a thinner sock and that is where the scratchiness was worse . I later switched to a medium thickness sock…the material still scratched my foot bet less so…when I say scratched I am talking about it scratching the top of my foot…when walking as my foot rolls from heel to toe off …it is at the toe off that the fabric scratches me. Switching to a boot sock finally got rid of the scratchiness…
And the more I wore these shoes the sloppier the shoes got on my feet…seems to me that the upper material was stretching out and the shoe was just feeling sloppy on my feet…becoming overly roomy and not holding my foot.
I then added a superfeet insole which greatly helped with my arches…But the shoe was still sloppy on my feet .
The “upgrade” that I did like was the new sole…it gripped well…even in wet conditions .
I am not a kizik hater….

I love the technology to the no hands approach…I got many good miles out of the ones pictured above…but as you can see that these were wearing out on the collar…to the point that the plastic underneath was cutting into my ankle….These were my house shoes and the fabric is super soft not causing any issues…I loved these shoes…maybe there is a way I can mend that area on the collar so I can wear those again
For me I like the Athens original much much better than the new Athens 2….this is the 3rd pair of Kiziks that I have purchased and the first 2 pairs worked out really well .
